Skillrater provides skill evidence analysis, career direction recommendations, and opportunity mapping based on information you actively provide. All results generated by the platform are meant as recommendations, not guarantees.
3. No Guarantees
Skillrater does not guarantee jobs, income, interviews, search rankings, hiring outcomes, or professional visibility improvements. All outputs are algorithmic recommendations based exclusively on the visible skill evidence and stated goals you submit.
4. User Responsibilities
You are strictly responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you provide. You agree not to submit information about others without their explicit consent, nor to use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual Property
All proprietary content, heuristic analysis methods, codebases, and platform features are the intellectual property of Best Practice Institute and Skillrater. You may freely use your personal generated results for your own professional development and sharing.
6. Privacy

7. Data and Content
You retain ownership of any text or data you paste into the platform. We do not store your full pasted text. However, summary results, generated analytics, and metadata may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Skillrater is provided strictly "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skillrater and Best Practice Institute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform.
10. Third-Party Services
Skillrater may link to or integrate with third-party ecosystem services (such as Most Loved Workplace, CertCheck, BPI, or VisiPage). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third-party domains.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify or replace these terms at any time. Your continued use of the platform following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
